How executive coaching can help develop your leaders

Behavioural change and development

We apply the Cognitive Behavioural Coaching (CBC) framework. This focuses on the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours and how they influence our actions.

When we feel insecure, threatened, or challenged, our instinctive responses don’t always serve us best. By identifying and changing negative or subconscious thought patterns through coaching, individuals can alter their behaviour and emotional responses to support the achievement of better outcomes.

We coach individuals to enable them to grow based on their needs, whether these be career development, managing role expansion, taking on more responsibility, developing and implementing new skills and approaches, or simply altering established ways of working that no longer serve them well. Our goal is to help leaders reach their highest potential.
Working with senior leaders
Unpack assessments and surveys to identify and support the change required, be it in skills, attitudes, or attentional focus.
Reflection and planning with mid level managers
Understand survey and assessment results, develop insights from personality assessments and team feedback, and co-develop and implement practical change plans.

Executive coaching and support 

Our executive coaching program typically spans 3-6 months, with around nine coaching sessions tailored for both senior leaders and mid-level managers.

For senior leaders

As leaders progress to more complex and strategic roles, they need to evolve in multiple ways, including improved collaboration across departments, influencing more senior stakeholders, and managing more diverse responsibilities, building credibility, brand, and reputation.

We help leaders identify opportunities for their development and change as they grow their influence, impact, and responsibilities.

Typical program:

2-2.5 months:
We meet every two weeks for deep-dive discovery, planning, and approach.        
-2.5 months onwards: We meet monthly to allow time for applying learnings, establishing what is working/not, and reflecting and refining the application.

For mid-level managers

For mid-senior managers, who are busy running day-to-day operations and keeping sight of the longer-term implications and strategic goals, it can be a balancing act.

Other challenges include role transitions and expansion, stepping up from managing one team to multiple teams, and working on now critical development areas that have been ignorable in the past. These bring their own challenges and require adaptability to change.

Through coaching, we help managers think more broadly about their role, their stakeholders, and the critical skills and behaviours that will generate success. We challenge them to identify where their attention and focus is best placed and how they can best support their teams’ success. We work with them to improve perceptions around their capabilities and promote their true leadership potential.
